Notice of the 2017 Federation Annual Meeting and Elections – The Federation of Kings Point Associations, Inc. Annual Meeting and Election will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 9:30 am in the Kings Point North Clubhouse, Veterans Theater, 1900 Clubhouse Drive, Sun City Center, FL 33573.

In accordance with the Bylaws of the Federation, owners are elected to be Directors on the Federation Board by a plurality vote according to the ballots cast.  This year elections will be held in Districts III, IV, V and VI.

Owners wishing to place a name in nomination or to declare their own intention to run, must complete and sign the Nomination and Certification Form and submit the form not later than 5:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2017.  It should be addressed as follows:  Louise Landry, c/o FirstService Residential, 1904 Clubhouse Drive, Sun City Center, FL.

Directors Whose Term Expires March 31, 2017 are: Chuck Huften, District III – Is eligible to run again; Tom Murphy, District IV – Is eligible to run again; Marty O’Neill, District V – Is term limited and cannot run again and Wayne Musholt, District VI – Is term limited and cannot run again.

The Incumbents Not Up For Election in 2017 are:  Bill Piper (District I); Maureen Hamilton (District II); Mike Bardell (District VII); Liz Argott (District VIII) and Mary Ann Meeker (District IX)

Notice of the 2017 Kings Point West Recreational Facilities Rules Association Opening: The Kings Point West Recreational Facilities Rules Association (KPWRFRA) has one (1) vacancy on their Board of Directors as the Lessor Director beginning April 1, 2017.


ARTICLE VI. MANAGEMENT – The affairs of the Corporation shall be managed by its Board of Directors, which shall consist of three (3) individuals. Two of the Directors shall be unit owners elected from among the condominium and homeowner associations at Kings Point West, Florida who are or whose association is, a lessee of the Kings Point Recreational Facilities (“Lessee Directors”). The third director shall be appointed by Kings Point West, Inc., or the then current Lessor of the Kings Point Recreational Facilities, and shall serve until said Lessor shall appoint a replacement (“Lessor Director”). The Lessor Director does not need to be a unit owner in Kings Point West and may be an officer or employee of the Lessor.

Recreational Facilities Committee (RFEC) Openings:  Three (3) Unit Owner-Resident positions on the RFEC will become vacant as of March 31, 2017. The Committee is seeking candidates who are Kings Point Unit Owner-Residents in Regions III, IV and V.

If you are interested in serving a two (2) year term on the RFEC in your Region, please provide a cover letter with your contact information and a resume addressed to Mary Ann Meeker, Federation Secretary, and put it in the Federation Mailbox located in the President’s mailroom or email KPFederation@tampabay.rr.com

Deadline for submitting your notice is February 28, 2017. Interviews will be scheduled in March 2017.

Bright House Networks –  Due to some recent corporate changes within Bright House Networks, they will no longer be able to continue operating the kiosk located in the Kings Point North Clubhouse.

Residents who have questions regarding their account, experience technical issues, or wish to schedule an installation will need to call the Kings Point dedicated number: 813-436-2182.  The Customer Care Professionals are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Residents may also visit the nearest Bright House Office, located at:  1945 Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.  The office is open Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, and Saturday 9am-1pm.  (Posted 10/17/16)
