IMPORTANT NOTICES:
Talking Trash Update.... May 25, 2013
Plans for Kings Point trash collection have been agreed to by Hillsborough County in those Associations that have curbside pickup.
  • They have agreed to provide two 35 gallon containers - one for trash and one for recyclables. 
  • Recyclables will no longer need to be separated - cans, bottles and paper will be combined into one container.
  • The new containers will be delivered beginning on January 14, 2014 and the new pickup will begin the following week.
  • The pickup schedule has not changed - trash will be picked up on Wednesday and Saturday and recyclables will be picked up on Wednesday's.
  • We still have not been told about the disposition of the currently used blue and green bins.  We will announce that as soon as we hear from the County.
The dumpster contract that serves the 69 Associations with 2,106 units was canceled by the County.  A new contract must be negotiated.  The Federation Board is working on this and will report to the community as soon as additional information is available.
